I am a freelance photographer and journalist working out of Nagoya, Japan covering all forms of fight sports including MMA, kickboxing and boxing. I have photographed and written about K-1, Dream, Pride FC, Deep, Shooto, Pancrase and HEAT and have over 6 years experience in the fight game, both as a practitioner and journalist. I currently cover MMA for ESPN affiliate Sherdog.com and Sports Illustrated and in the past have also done assignments for MMAWeekly.com, MMAOpinion.com and Kakutougi.info and have contributed pre-fight interviews, same day event coverage and photos, videotaped post-fight interviews and written editorial articles. I use only the best Canon professional quality lenses and camera bodies and provide same day photos and event articles if required. I have a team of experienced writers assisting me at all events and interviews which allows me to provide total coverage of any event and accurate interviews. If you require photography, event articles, interviews or anything else fight sport related in Japan , please contact me at

and I am sure I will be able to assist you and answer any queries you may have. I bring professionalism and in depth knowledge from years of experience to my work and I am willing to travel for any work you may require. I also do stock, business, fashion, skate and landskape photography and will be expanding my website in the near future to display more portfolios. When not covering fight sports I of course love watching fight sports and training myself. I have competed at national levels in wrestling, submission wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and have competed in boxing and MMA at various levels. Out of the fight sport world I enjoy travel, hiking and eating. Daniel Herbertson
